About the position
A heavy-vehicle service shop in Alberta is hiring experienced mechanics. You will diagnose, maintain and repair trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles. This is a full-time position in the shop. You will work on trucks and buses: scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, so the vehicles go back on the road safely. You will use modern diagnostic tools, alongside other mechanics.
What you would do
- Diagnose faults (diesel engines, air brakes, transmissions, electrical)
- Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections
- Repair or replace faulty parts
- Use electronic diagnostic tools
- Keep repair records up to date
Who we are looking for
- At least 3 years as a heavy truck, bus or equipment mechanic
- Minimum education: some secondary school
- A diploma or certificate in heavy-vehicle, diesel or automotive mechanics — strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of diesel engines
- Some English is an asset
- Clean criminal record
- French: NCLC 5 or higher
